The Historic Elitch Theatre is Denver's Oldest Cultural Venue! Built in 1891, the theatre has been a hub for theatre and the arts for over a century. A nonprofit organization, The Historic Elitch Gardens Theatre Foundation was formed in 2002 to raise funds for the restoration, as well as to maintain, preserve and restore the theatre. (The Foundation now works under the 'dba' of Historic Elitch Theatre — aka HET.)
